With many of us spending a significant amount of time at home, our kitchens have become more important than ever. If you’ve
realized that a kitchen remodel is in order, first do some research into what kind of countertop is the best for your budget and your needs.

Marble. Often the most luxurious options, this type of natural stone is great choice for those looking to make a statement. If you enjoy baking or rolling out dough, a great thing to keep in mind is that marble is heat-resistant. This allows the surface to stay cool on hot days. Marble is also a good choice if you are looking for a low maintenance option.

Granite. If you have watched home remodel shows, you have most likely heard the question….is this granite? Granite has become a favorite with homeowners for its durability. It is a natural stone that comes in a variety of colors. Each slab of granite is unique so if you are looking to maintain a color pattern, be sure to find a slab that is large enough.

Quartz. Another type of natural stone, this is often seen as an alternative to granite. Quartz is a similar price to granite but is usually less expensive. Like granite, the fact that it is naturally found makes each slab unique.

Laminate. This is usually one of the least expensive alternative when it comes to kitchen remodels. Because the material is manufactured, it comes in a wide variety of colors and styles. It can also be designed to mimic granite or quartz.
